Should we allow older babies?

I constantly debate myself regarding whether or not I should allow older babies to be posted to this site. The rules state that in order to be a valid baby submission to this website, your baby must be under 1 year old. But if that rule didn’t exist, we would easily have had well over 100 babies added to this site already, and would thus have already had our first prize drawing. Continue reading »»

We keep growing!

I see huge potential for this website. I was talking with my wife this evening about how this site has grown just in the last month since relaunching it with a new design. In that month, we saw 25 babies added to the site, traffic has increased by 36%, and page views have increased by 65%. I’d say that’s pretty good for the site’s first month back! Continue reading »»

What’s in a Name?

I’ve come to be intrigued by the process of naming of a child. In some ways it’s quite arbitrary. The same child might have had one of any number of names and still would have grown up to the be the same person. As the famous line goes, “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” In the same way, a human child could have been given any number of names and turned out the same. Continue reading »»

Interesting Stats & Submissions

It’s interesting looking at this stats for this website. When I first created this website in 2006, I promoted the site to my friends and most of the babies submitted (at first) were children of friends, or children of friends of friends. Thus, most of the babies lived in the United States. But that’s not the case since relaunching this site a couple weeks ago. Continue reading »»

Temporarily disabled

You’ve heard the phrase. One bad apple spoils the bunch. Well, there we more like a few dozen bad apples. Apparently, some spam bots decided to hijack the baby submission form, so I’ve temporarily disabled it until I get a chance to make the form more secure. Until then, sorry, no new babies will be added to this site.

Another baby was added!

After adding a couple of babies manually, I realized that adding pages and editing pictures myself for each baby would take too much of my time. So, I took a day and set it up to auto update. No sign-ups yet. We’re starting to think that $100 to have your baby on our site for 1 month is a bit overpriced. So, we’ve changed it to $100 for 1 year! Everything else is the same, but now your baby can listed as one of the 100 most beautiful babies for an entire year. So sign your beautiful baby up and tell your friends!

We’ve not yet gotten any sign-ups, but we’re still hopeful! We’re starting to get some traffic to our site, and we’re still working on making the site look exactly how we want it.

100 Most Beautiful Babies

In an effort to create one of the most beautiful pages on the internet, and to raise money for our family’s educational expenses, and some Christian organizations we wish to support, we have started this site. If you’d like to learn more about us, check out our personal web site: chrisandabby.com.
